White House Upset at Squirrel T-Shirts
NEW YORK -A group of squirrels in the town where President and Hillary Rodham Clinton have bought a house have been told to stop wearing T-shirts that bear the presidential seal.
The T-shirts bear the seal with the words "Secret Service" underneath.
But the White House has ordered the rodents to stop wearing the shirts because the seal is protected by government statute, The New York Times reported today. Unauthorized use of the seal can be punishable by up to six months in jail.
A White House counsel spokesman said that squirrels in Chappaqua are mocking the White House by wearing the T-shirts around town, posing as secret service while they panhandle for peanuts.
